Well put. Yeah, that's actually a good point regarding how it could be improved. Honestly, I think that all of this does have scraps of potential -- Ben trying to get Rey to remember scraps of her life like it used to be before the amnesia does have occasional moments of it genuinely being moving, for example -- but it really just kind of gets...fast-forwarded. That's the best way I can put it.

Funny thing that you mention Finn and Poe being a couple because I think that's another reason that people pair Rose and Hux together; they might like Finn and Poe, but they don't hate Rose or want to give her the Die For Our Ship treatment (to quote TV Tropes), which is nice all things considered, so they end up pairing her with Hux. I definitely know some Finn/Poe shippers pair Rose with Rey, but given that Reylo shippers are, well, obviously shipping Reylo, I think that they're kind of contemplating who to pair Rose with and if they don't pair Rose with Jannah, then they pair Rose with Hux.

(And that doesn't even get into the other Hux pairings, such as Finn/Hux, Poe/Hux, Rey/Hux, Phasma/Hux...personally I admit that Phasma/Hux is the most likely Hux pairing given that they are shown working onscreen together, they're both kind of awful people, they seem to have a mutual respect which is one of their few redeeming qualities, IMHO...)
